Between 21 and 23 April 2020, international online meetings and discussions took place on the organizational and methodological issues of the implementation of the 10th data collection round of the European Social Survey.

On 21 April 2020, Denisa Fedáková and Veronika Szeghy-Gayer from the Institute of Social Sciences at the Centre of Social and Psychological Sciences of the Slovak Academy of Sciences (SvÚ CSPV SAS) participated in a one-day forum focused exclusively on questionnaire translation, organized by a team of colleagues from the GESIS Leibnitz Institute of Mannheim, Germany. In Slovakia, the ESS questionnaire is translated not only into Slovak but also into Hungarian.

The meeting was organized by the main coordination team of the ESS from the London City University, headed by prof. Rory Fitzgerald, the ESS Project Manager. The Slovak coordination team was represented by Denisa Fedáková, Michal Kentoš and Ivana Piterová from SvÚ CSPV SAV. In particular, the 74 participants discussed the possibilities and pitfalls of the implementation of the 10th round in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and expressed their unanimous determination to successfully implement the survey in these unprecedented conditions.
