On March 6 our colleague Miroslav Varšo was a guest of Bohdan Hroboň in the program Over Word in the radio Devín. The program covered a unique project The Comments on the Old and New Testaments. It´s generously drafted ecumenical work, which you can´t find in Slovak culture.
„In the program Over Word about Book of Hosea is discussed an issue of love and anger in the marital relationship. Book of Hosea – script from 8th century BC – describes a relationship of nation to the God. It draws it as a metaphor as a not functional marriage of the prophet of Hosea and his wife Gomera, where the mistakes pile up, the anger is growing to the point that the relationship falls apart (Oz 1-3). The partner, who feels involved, in this case it is God as a husband is repeatedly trying to find a way back (Oz 4-12). This effort is described by imaginative images. The main message of the story is to control the anger from husband’s side (God) and an offer to renew the relationship of love without conditions.“ was said by Miroslav in the program.
