The project focuses on the issue of population exchange between Czechoslovakia and Hungary, with a special focus on the situation of Slovaks in Hungary, resettlement from Hungary and settlement in Slovakia. The aim of the project is to bring consistent and comprehensive statistical data about exchange as well as the historical context of the researched issue in Czechoslovak, Slovak and foreign policy. Synchronously, the project has the ambition to prepare commented documents about the population exchange, which would complete the efforts to comprehensively cover the topic and, at the same time, contribute to Slovak historiography. The intention of the project is to create the prerequisites for solving the problem of generational continuity in the study of Slovak-Hungarian relations after the Second World War in Slovak historiography.
